I am very sorry for your loss, I hope you can find moments in today to remember the good times as well, the smiles you shared .
There is no time limit on loosing someone so just be kind to yourself today and I hope that tomorrow will seem a little easier xx

loss is hard but we are here for you if you need the distraction

I'm so sorry Jim
Recently had first anniversary of my nephew passing and I had work keeping me busy that day too. In ways it helped me cope.
Sending loving thoughts your way

I'm sorry for your loss, and can empathise with the unavoidable sadness you're feeling. I lost my mother decades ago now, and while I think fondly about her every day, I tend to become a little withdrawn and reflective on the anniversary of her passing. I think about how blessed I was to have her in my life (albeit for a very short time), and how I would hate for her to still be here with the unbearable pain she was suffering.

I wish you comfort and solace too, as you remember your beloved mother.

Let's talk. It's how we learn about yesterday and comprehend today.

Yes work did help, a hyperactive manager and a shortage of trained staff works wonders.

Thank you. May I ask how old you were?

I'm glad work proved to be a good distraction for you, such times are never easy, no matter how long it's been.
New Year's eve was the first anniversary for my mum so i took myself and my daughter to Dublin, i had to have a distraction and wanted to create happy memories with thoughts of my mum.

Big hugs

Cancer is such a terrible thing that touches so many of us directly and indirectly. I hope you got through the day ok and can focus on the good memories of which I am sure there are many.

Yes I did and yes I was able to, once I escaped from work

I was in my late teens. Mum battled with cancer for 6 years before finally succumbing.

Let's talk. It's how we learn about yesterday and comprehend today.
