For the unitiated: If the home team spread has a minus in front of it, it means they're favored by that amount of points and have win by MORE than the spread (Watch out for those half points! They can kill ya! I know from personal experience... )

For the purposes of this Pick Em there will be no "push". If the favored team covers the spread exactly (for instance the Bucs beat the Giants 17 - 14) the favored team is given a win. For those of you who don't know what a push is, let me know so I can take your money in the future.

And to be nice I'll point out that JAX is FAVORED over PIT at Heinz Field. I'm sure the Steelers consider that an insult.

Because of scheduling this weekend (first game isn't sked to start until 4:30 p.m. U.S.A. EST Saturday) I'll make an exception to the lock out time.

All picks for all four games must be submitted by 12 p.m. U.S.A. CST time (1 p.m. East coast, 10 a.m. West Coast your times). K?

I'll make a separate playoff spreadsheet and anybody that want's to see it, let me know and I'll send it to you.

Seahawks +8 Holmgren, with Hasselbeck's injury will plan around a west coast dink and dunk contest, eating as much clock as possible keeping Mr. Favre on the sidelines. Lucky if we see 3 passes over 20 yds. 24-17 PACK

Jaguars +13 Looking for a backdoor cover. I love the Jag's ground arsenal, but Garraund is in for a world of hurt trying to play catch up, waiting for his receivers to get open, when in fact they can't and won't. Jax got beat up pretty good last week. 28-17 PATS

Chargers +9 Chargers peaking at right time on both sides of the ball. Rivers' play continues to be suspect though. With the strong possibility that Gates won't play makes this a tough call. Peyton shines in the end, not wanting to have to rely on his new idiot kicker. 31-24 Colts

Dallas -7 1/2 Although thoroughly impressed with the Giants play last week, especially Jacobs. They are completely outmanned and outgunned in this match. Giants D-Line looks tired and will provide Romo with plenty of time to find the deep man. Better get your popcorn!

Boys beating giants 3 straight will be tough..they have never faced each other in playoffs..thought that was strange considering the history of these divisional rivals..30-27 boys

the jags have the size and speed to hang with the pats, but not quite enough offensive power to keep up..31-27 pats

the colts are defending champs but flying low under the radar..with harrison back they should have enough to win..27-21 colts

the pack must face the coach that took them all the way back in the day..31-21 pack
