Wherever I go this self-styled Venue Critic will let you know of where's good. If its bad then it ain't on here. This does not include dubious Public Facilities positioned conveniently on the edge of Parkland frequented by men in long dark macs. Alt does not allow commercial use hence no website links etc.

Stonewall, Oxford Street, Sydney. A very happenning place at weekends and ideal for hanging out at during the week. Door Police are sensible, bar staff friendly, mostly gays but have been there several times and never had any hassle. Ground floor for chat, and two floors upstairs for dancing in the groove. Open till early hours.
Be prepared for Q's Fri and Sat nights. Not for those who want relaxed chatter by the fireplace. Recommended Tina

ARQ. Flinders Street-off Oxford St,Darlinghurst. Sydney.
Dance baby dance. If u luv hassle free dancing amidst a mass of sweating chests and sexy boys - then ARQ is for you. Very T-gal friendly. Downstairs for chat/dance and upstairs for - 100% dance.
On till a.m. Sometimes tgals get in for 0$ depends on the night.
Door Police are very business-like but ok and very rare to get any hassle. Great music. Last time I went had a cute young boy trying to get a pic of under my skirt-lol. Hellfire Oxford St. Sydney. One of Sydney's oldest Fetish Events. Held monthly. The shop front of Fetish/BDSM in Sydney. A cross-section of people go. Very CD/T-Gal friendly. The Polite but strict Door Police keep out the Tourists. The occasional rubber nickers sneak in but in your face behavior is quickly dealt with. Great for Fashion Victims and ideal for first-timers having a look-see.
Great for one and all, good stage acts as well. Not for those who want plenty of elbow room or a quiet little armchair chat. Recommended Tina

Sensual Ball Events. Sydney. Held every six months these are a great way to show yourself off to mainstream Fetish fans. It was at a Fetish Ball held at Sydney Uni last summer 07 that I first went public. I had a great time. Everybody was so friendly and the Door Police helpful, polite and very admiring - of course-lol. The only downside was leaving as the venue was not taxi friendly. However I note that the next event is back in the City. Lots of stage shows, great costumes. It is a couples (mm,ff,mf etc) only event but us sexy gals are never without admirers -lol. Not for wallflowers or those seeking deep needed fetish relief but absolutely a great night out. CD and T-Gal friendly. Recommended Tina

Sleaze Ball - End of Sept/Oct TBA. Whilst Sydney’s popular Mardi Gras Party is all sweetness and light, the city’s annual Sleaze Ball caters to the edgier side of gay and lesbian celebrations. The ball was first held in 1982 and was so popular that over 500 revellers had to be turned away. And the event continues to grow in popularity each year attracting ever larger crowds who come to dance the night away. Dressing up is almost compulsory and the more flamboyant the better, so expect a dazzling cast of characters in outlandish costumes. Revellers party through until dawn so you’ll need plenty of energy to join this party. T-Gal friendly and Party Central. I love to dance so see you there. Recommended Tina

Arrows, Rydelmere. A cruise club. Simple as that. They have a Tranny night once a month. I went there when I first started going out. It was difficult to find out where to go and the Arrows site mentioned a Tranny night. So off I go unaware that it was a Cruise Club - I was expecting a Dance venue etc. Well dears did my eyebrows go stratosphere-lol. I met some very friendly T-Gals - Hi Jackie, who took the time to show me around. Darlings if you want to shake it all about this is the place for you. I never got hassled despite having a constant group of admirers, the staff were watchful and helpful and the place is clean. However don't lie down with your bum in the air unless you want it er studied. So only recommended for those who have a need if you follow what I mean-lol. Luvely Tina

The Midnight Shift. Oxford St. Sydney. It was busy, fun and friendly. Very gay so for those seeking a wider audience for their sexy look perhaps not the place to be. I enjoyed it, nobody gave me any hassle and the bar staff were friendly and quick to serve.
I may go back there for a normal Sat night visit as I was there for a Party. However well worth a visit if you are out and about. No playing chess or reading a book here - its Party hard and live to dance. Recommended Tina

Mardi Gras Club. The reason I was at the midnight Shift was because I am a club member of the Mardi Gras Organization. They are the group that organize the annual Mardi Grass through Sydney and the Party afterwards. They also put on the annual Sleaze Ball and other events. By being a member you help the kitty and also get fun invites. All are welcome gay or not. Though it helps if you are sympathetic to the cause! Its because of this organization and others that it is becoming easier to wander around in our 6" heels.

GK2U Dinner Party. Well everybody was friendly. It was quite busy, everybody chatted, plenty of food and BYO. To make the most of it you would probably have to go a couple of times as most people knew each other. I chatted and was made welcome. T-Gal/Cross-dresser friendly. Not a dance/music venue but more a sort of chat and play event. Recommended for those whose focus is on display and play. They are a regular event - info on the BDSM on-line calender (Google BDSM Sydney)
